FOX HOUND
The Unofficial High-Tech Special Force Group FOX HOUND. 不正規ハイテク特殊部隊ＦＯＸＨＯＵＮＤ. An important existence through out the series. In 1990, out of sectional warfare, territory disputes, and terrorist activities, was created this high-tech special force group. To deal with problems that governments were unable to officially interfere politically or militarily. To carry out secret missions the government did not officially order. Every team member possesses expertise in all kinds of abilities. Be it infiltration through the air, the water, or land, these secret agents can sneak in and out of enemy territories silently and undetected. They are the present time equivalent of ancient Japanese ninjas. The first Commander in Chief of Fox Hound was the strongest soldier of the 20th century - Big Boss. His goal for the special force group was to integrate high-tech artillery into the group, and yet not have the soldiers lose their basic physical abilities as elite soldiers. However, at the time, Big Boss himself was already injured in battle, so he was unable to participate also as a soldier, but was only commanding as a retired former soldier. 1995, after the Outer Heaven Crisis, Big Boss disappeared, location and status unknown. Fox Hound Second Commander Roy Campbell promoted to Commander in Chief. Solid Snake out of Fox Hound. Grey Fox current location and status unknown. Campbell discarded the old codename system, integrated satellite technology and new high-tech weapons and created newer troops. The start of the era of the Roy Campbell Fox Hound. 1999, during the Zanzibarland Uprising, former Fox Hound member Solid Snake was recalled. Zanzibarland falls. Solid Snake did not return to Fox Hound. Afterwards, Roy Campbell leaves Fox Hound. Afterwards, Liquid Snake joins Fox Hound. Gene therapy of soldiers was introduced. Because of this and other factors, Fox Hound gradually became crazed, a gathering of mad men. 2005, while conducting a joint performance test drill of the Metal Gear REX on the Shadow Moses Island, Fox Hound Uprising. Liquid Snake, leading a team which called themselves the "Sons of Big Boss", took over Metal Gear REX and prototype nuclear warheads, and attempted re-realization of Outer Heaven. The government recalled Roy Campbell and Solid Snake and silenced the uprising. After the incident, Fox Hound disbanded and disolved. 2009, The Patriots, for the purpose of carrying out the S3 test drill, formed fake Fox Hound. Raiden joins Fox Hound without knowledge, trained through VR training, and sent to face the Sons of Liberty Uprising. Due to the entire thing being a made-up drill, at this time Fox Hound did not exist. 11.22.02
